On arrival there was David from the Westgate Runners S.C.to greet us on a very, very cold day the landlord came out and asked to move our scooters as the car park would be full soon for Sunday diners we said we would be leaving anyway in ten minutes..........haha. We decided to move the scooters on to the side of the road as latest reports came the convoy was an hour behind schedule! Nothing to do except chat and wait.After a while we had a visit from Adam in his ape that took everyone’s mind of the cold for a while and were also joined by Mark,Spuzzy and some other Westgate Runners.
Eventually a solo rider appeared and said the riders were about ten minutes away so we revved up waiting and joined the riders heading for Waterloo Westgate. We all paid £3 per scooter and patches were available.
After a brief stop and someone doing a quick repair to his exhaust we all set off for Barnsley and the Keel inn for hot food.Unfortunatley the person who was doing the food was ill that day so there was nothing to be had except more cold weather and the skies really came heavy we decided that we would detour and visit rob just out of hospital. and also get a warm drink.
